Where can I find information about Bush’s economic policies?

Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin

I see a lot of reference to "Bush’s economic policies". The context of these references don’t shed any light on what the actual policies are. All I’ve been able to extract from the context are that the Bush economic policies are the root of all evil and portent the end of existence as we know it.

Where can I learn more about the actual policies and goals?

Thanks for all honest and unbiased answers.
I suspect that all the "root of all evil…" descriptions might be a bit too biased for my tastes. I’m looking for something a bit less biased.

Actually, He didn’t do bad at all. The normal business cycle produces periodic recessions. The longest time between recessions had been 11 years. Bush’s administration managed to keep it to a record 17 years. In the aftermath of the 9-11 attacks, he managed to keep the country out of a recession when most economists predicted the country headed toward one. In 2003 the unemployment rate was 4.4% which matched the previous administrations best. Seeing as 2003 was well within Bush’s 1st administration, I think we can safely assume that one other answerer is biased and uninformed. Anyway, there’s a lot more to it than that. Since you asked for a place to find out more, see the following link.

How do I convey new policy information to an employee who is illiterate?

Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin

The structure of the organization is: this employee reports to a supervisor and this supervisor reports to me.

Have the supervisor hold a group meeting with his/her employees, including the one who is illiterate, and verbally discuss the new policy before it goes into effect.

After the policy goes into effect, do the same thing again.

Try not to single the employee out, but do reinforce the message verbally.

You also could ask the employee if he/she needs accomodation, such as a coach or reader to assist them. Or, if this disability is already known to the supervisor, maybe the employee has a trusted friend and you could email the policy for the friend to explain to your employee.

Basically, think about ways you would do this if the employee was blind. Make sure you do this privately if the illiteracy is not known to other employees.

Also, look into courses maybe at your local high school or community college where the employee could get help learning to read and offer to pay for the tuition. You would vastly improve their skills, and get a loyal employee too.

The commonwealth of Kentucky has a swearing in public office policy can you print it out?

Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin

Oath of Office
The following oath is administered to Kentucky Secretaries of State:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this Commonwealth, and be faithful and true to the Commonwealth of Kentucky so long as I continue a citizen thereof, and that I will faithfully execute, to the best of my ability, the office of Secretary of State according to law; and I do further solemnly swear (or affirm) that since the adoption of the present Constitution, I, being a citizen of this State, have not fought a duel with deadly weapons within this State nor out of it, nor have I sent or accepted a challenge to fight a duel with deadly weapons, nor have I acted as second in carrying a challenge, nor aided or assisted any person thus offending, so help me God.

Reference: Section 228 of the Constitution of Kentucky, as Ratified & Revised in 1891.

FOR GOVERNOR:

"You do solemnly swear that you will support
the Constitution of the United States
and the Constitution of this Commonwealth
and be faithful and true to the Commonwealth of Kentucky
so long as you continue a citizen thereof,
and that you will faithfully execute, to the best of your ability,
the office of Governor according to law;
and you do further solemnly swear that since the adoption
of the present Constitution, you, being a citizen of this State,
have not fought a duel with deadly weapons
within this State nor out of it, nor have you sent or
accepted a challenge to fight a duel with deadly weapons,
nor have you acted as a second in carrying a challenge, nor
aided or assisted any person thus offending,
so help you God."

If Bush lied and people died, how can Democrats trust the Republican party with health care policies?

in a different presidential term?

lets see now our new president had pledged transparency during his tenure which isn’t happening
he also pledged accountability which isn’t happening
He said that he would hold big banks accountable. This may be happening after he gave them over a trillion dollars that they put in overseas investments (jobs)
He said that unemployment would top out at 8% we are now at 9.3% and still rising
He said that the federal stimulus package needed to be passed right away to stop the job loss and get the economy moving again without letting congress read the full bill that included a whole lot of pork. Here it is 6 months later and still no jobs for Americans but their are tons for the Chinese and the European theater.

Based off of the above facts I don’t believe any president as they speak before they think but I would rather have a president who wasn’t a flat out liar like our current one

What is considered good value for a life insurance policy?

Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin

A 73 year old smoker pays $60 per month and the policy is only worth $10K. That seems to be a waste of money, especially when this person could use the money on a weekly basis right now. I’m wondering if there is a rule of thumb to determine if the monthly payment is reasonable when compared to the amount of the policy.

More answers from people who don’t know the whole situation. How long have they been paying on it? What kind of policy is it? When does the coverage expire?

Anyone that flat out say whole life is a ripoff shouldn’t be answering life insurance questions.
