I could the same argument about the leaders of the socialist ideology in Asia, Eastern Europe or even the cuban dictatorship that oppressed and killed in a scale much greater and brutal.
Its amazing that socialists with such backward, rigid and dogmatic beliefs would dare to call other people “religious fundamentalism”.
But I admit that I am a fundamentalist……. a fundamentalist of human liberty and the rights of the individual.

Do you mean doctor …
Do you mean doctor Milton Friedman winner of the Novel Prize in economics? yeah he is doing fine. You should read his work about Price Theory it may improve your understanding about economics.
By the way I read Klein’s book, most of it anyway, it was full of leaps of logic and inconsistencies but what more can you expect from a simple journalist without an academic degree?

I recommend you to …
I recommend you to read “The World Was Going Our Way: The KGB and the Battle for the Third World” by KBG major Vasili Mitrokhin about the KGB secret operations in Latin American and other places.

You dont understand …
You dont understand the logic of the cold war.
The KGB and the CIA didnt directly intervene.
And by the way those “thousands” killed in their failed “socialist revolutions” were only marxists and terrorists so nobody cares about them.

Also the cuban DGI …
Also the cuban DGI with the assistance Eduardo Paredes (chief of investigations and personal friend of Allende) and Patricio de la Guardia (Cuba attache in Santiago and DGI member) coordinated the smugling of thousands of cuban wepons to be delivered to Allende’s supporters in the hope of securing the power of the socialist regime in Chile.

Your logic is so …
Your logic is so faulty is amazing.
Did the CIA murder thousands in Guatemala in Chile too? off course not, it was the cold war.
For your information according to KGB general Nikolai Leonov (former head of KGB in Latin America) the Soviet Union granted the UP leaders in Chile 114 million dollars in loans and 100 millions dollars in weapons, including KGB money going directly to fund Allende before and after his election.
October 22nd, 2009 at 3:51 pm
you need to take a …
you need to take a political science course in a university kiddo…about a history lesson..kgb dis not murder thousands in guatemala nor chile..nor did it fund nor continue to fund terrorism and destabilization in that region..open free-market does not exist..the only things growing under batista were illiteracy and inequality and..civil unrest..
