Minor contraction: Which policy, or combination of policies, would you recommend to address this situation?

    Do you mean "Minor Construction?" If so, then your regular homeowners insurance will cover. If this is an unlicensed contractor, or just a handyman – then you’ll want a "waiver of insurance coverage", which protects you from being sued or paying some guys hospital bills, if he falls off the roof or hurts himself while doing work on your house. (This is especially important if contractor has no workers comp. insurance)
